Cookies policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Elm & Sterling Advice uses, and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help pages function, remember preferences, or—if you allow—understand how the site is used.
Types we use
Essential cookies remember your cookie choice and keep basic site features working. These do not require consent beyond notice.
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are visited. They are set only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. Rejecting analytics does not block consultations, forms, or navigation.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| elmsterling_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for cookies | 1 year | Elm & Sterling Advice (first party) |
| _es_analytics | Measures aggregated page visits when analytics accepted | 6 months | Elm & Sterling Advice (first party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on our banner when it appears. You can clear site data in your browser settings to reset the choice. Browser controls also let you block cookies entirely; essential features such as remembering consent may then reset on each visit.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts from Google Fonts may cause your browser to request resources from Google’s domains. We do not use advertising networks on this site. If we add a third-party analytics provider later, this table will be updated and consent will be requested again where required.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics cookies does not affect contact forms, appointment enquiries, or access to guides. Blocking all cookies may require you to set preferences again on a later visit.
More privacy detail
Personal data handling is described in our privacy notice.
